AusRelief & Fineshine Grocery Drive Van
The Grocery Drive program is an initiative that donates free groceries to families in need within the community. It gives the public the opportunity to donate non-perishable items into the charity boxes located at several Woolworths supermarkets.
All donations are stored at AusRelief’s local warehouse where volunteers sort, pack and deliver grocery packs to disadvantaged
families.
Families will receive one essential bag and one nonessential bag per month. The donation drive has been successfully operating for over 2 years. We would like to support AusRelief’s mission by providing much needed funds and a van that can allow for a more seamless and organised distribution of the goods to the families in need.
The Grocery Drive has grown exponentially providing more groceries to families and community centres such as women’s domestic
violence organisations and recognised individuals in need. With this growth comes a higher demand for a more efficient transportation system. With the support of sponsors we will be able to purchase a van that can pick up from multiple stores and deliver to multiple locations without the need for numerous trips making the grocery
drive system more efficient and sustainable in the future.
